How long will it take me to complete this course?
This certification must be completed in a minimum of 3 days via distance learning or 4 days in the classroom if no distance learning is used.
What criteria are used to evaluate the qualification?
It is broken down into two parts and examined using two multiple-choice exams and a practical assessment. The following are the units:
Unit 1: Working Principles in the Private Security Industry
A 110-minute, 72-question multiple-choice exam was used to assess the candidate. To pass this unit, students must receive a score of at least 70%.
Externally set, internally scored practical assessment task based on the completion of an evidentiary statement.
Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator in the Private Security Industry: Principles and Practices
A 60-minute, 40-question multiple-choice exam was used to assess the candidate. To pass this unit, students must have a score of at least 70%.
Unit 3: The Private Security Industry’s Practical Use of CCTV Equipment
An externally set and internally scored practical evaluation was used to evaluate the student. Learners must receive a perfect score in order to pass.
Externally set, internally assessed, realistic CCTV scenario with observation sheet for practical evaluation.
Portfolio, externally set, internally graded workbook, with an 80 percent score for the workbook’s short answer section.
So, what’s next?
Individuals who complete this course will be eligible for a Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry.
